MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Religious Leaders have been challenged to speak against societal ills and depoliticized religious institutions.
A Liberian Economist, Dr. George Gould, said:” Religious leaders are under moral obligation to fight corruption and other crimes, for the common good of the Country.”
Dr. Gould also wants Liberians use the Festive Season as a wakeup call to embrace peace and reconciliation.
He said religious institutions should focus on the core value of their existence.
Dr. Gould urged members of Government and religious institutions to work together for the transformation of the Country, irrespective of status in society.
