Pres. Weah wants House of Rep, Senate support Nat’l Dev. Agenda Plan

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah wants members of the House of Representatives and the Liberian Senate to put aside partisans’ bickering and support the National Development Agenda of Liberia.

President Weah said he looks forward to working with all parties at the National Legislature, as it begins the Fourth Session in accordance with the Liberian Constitution.

He also congratulated Representative Fonati Koffa on his victory as Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, following his election on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

An Executive Mansion release issued Wednesday, January 13, 2021, quoted President Weah as thanking other members of the Lower House for reposing confidence in Representative Koffa, to serve as Deputy Speaker.

He said: “Representative Koffa’s election is a manifestation of the collaboration that can be formed by various political blocs to do the business of the Liberian people.”
