MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Minister of Education, Prof. Ansu Sonii, says the Ministry has begun renovation at the D. Tweh High School Auditorium, ahead of President Weah’s 72-hour ultimatum.
Minister Sonii said:” Carpenters are currently replacing the damaged ceilings at the D. Tweh auditorium.”
Recently, President Weah expressed serious disappointment over conditions of the facilities, upon completion of a one-day assessment tour of five Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS).
But speaking to ELBC on Friday, January 15, 2021, Professor Sonii rendered an apology to President Weah over the situation.
According to him, the situation has also given the President firsthand information about the challenges in the Education Sector.

He urged principals, County and District Education Officers and Superintendents of school systems to monitor and evaluate schools with passion and dedication, to avoid similar embarrassment.
