MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government says its attention has been drawn to a special media post, notifying the public of a plan by Radio Bushrod or D 15 Radio, to begin hosting the Chairman of the Council of Patriots, Henry Costa.
A Ministry of Information, Culture Affairs and Tourism (MICAT) Release issued over the weekend quotes the Liberian Government as warning the Management of Radio Bushrod against hosting Henry Costa, a fugitive from the Liberian Justice and wanted man on its platform.
The release said Henry Costa, as a fugitive who fled the Country in 2020 after he escaped an arrest warrant issued in a criminal matter, should not be given a privilege to use the platform of Radio Bushrod to communicate with the Liberian audience, while in the United States.
The MICAT Release says any act contrary to the warnings of Government shall be deemed a violation of the term of the Operational Permit of Radio Bushrod issued by the Ministry of Information and licensing conditions promulgated, under the Telecommunication Act of Liberia.
