Prez. Weah, Togolese President Faure Gnassingbe to hold bilateral talks after Jerry Rawlings’ funeral

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – President George Weah has begun holding series of bilateral discussions with regional counterparts in the Ghanaian Capital, Accra.

The Liberian leader, is in Ghana attending the funeral of former Ghanaian President, Jerry John Rawlings.

Speaking Wednesday, January 27, 2021, on ELBC, Presidential Press Secretary, Isaac Solo Kelgbeh, said President Weah is expected to first meet with the President of Togo, Faure Gnassingbe, on the margins of the funeral.

Mr. Kelgbeh said the two African Leaders will, among other key issues, discuss regional peace and security, trade and commerce.

According to him, President Weah will also hold discussions with other world leaders during and after the funeral service.
