MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has paid tribute to South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa, for his prompt respond for a continental strategy to contain the Coronavirus.
President Weah lauded the outgoing Chairman of African Union (AU) for his innovative leadership in establishing the African Vaccine Acquisition Task Team to procure COVID-19 Vaccine for the continent.
The Liberian Leader made the comment on Saturday, February 6, 2021, during his virtual participation at the 34th Ordinary Session of the Heads of State of the African Union, where President Ramaphosa turned over as AU Chairman.
President Weah then congratulated Democratic Republic of Congo President, Filex Tshisekedi, for his ascendency to the Chairmanship of the AU.
The Liberian Leader assured of Liberia’s unflinching support to President Tshisekedi’s leadership at the AU.
