Gov’t. makes strides in moving the Pro-Poor Agenda forward-Finance Minister Tweah

GRAND GEDEH COUNTY, LIBERIA-Liberia’s Finance Minister, Samuel Tweah, says the Government of Liberia has made significant progress in the implementation of its Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development.

Minister Tweah said:” The construction of hospitals and the provision of basic social services demonstrate the commitment of the Liberian Government to lift its people out of poverty.”

He said the Government is keen on human development through improved health services and education, as enshrined under Pillar One of the PAPD.

The Finance Minister was speaking on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of a major hospital in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County.

He lauded the German Government for their support to the project, noting that Liberia can always count on a mutually rewarding partnership from Germany.
