MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Health is expected to conduct a nationwide vaccination campaign against typhoid fever.
The typhoid vaccination campaign is expected to begin in April, this year.
The Risk Communication Pillar Lead at the Incident Management Team, Chester Smith, made the disclosure in an ELBC interview Tuesday, February 23, 2021.
Mr. Smith said:” The typhoid vaccines were made available by the Government of Liberia, with support from the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI).”
The latest development from the Ministry of Health will bring major relief to Liberians as typhoid fever is one of the most common but life-threatening illnesses in the country.
