Secure land tenure, ownership good for responsible land and natural resource management in Liberia-Foreign Minister Kemayah

by Jonathan O. Grigsby, Sr

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Foreign Minister, Dee Maxwell Kemayah, says secured land tenure and ownership is good for responsible land and natural resource management in Liberia.

According to Minister Kemayah, when people’s rights to land are guaranteed, it will encourage them to invest in agriculture and other development initiatives.

The Foreign Minister said:” Such guarantee will put Liberians in a position to properly manage their land, and secure a good inheritance for their unborn generations.”

Minister Kemayah spoke Thursday, February 25, 2021, in Congo Town, at the start of a two–day National Learning and Experience Sharing Conference on Customary Land Formalization.

Also speaking, Liberia Land Authority (LLA) Vice Chairperson, Madam Bloh Sayeh, said:” The conference is intended to speed–up and improve customary land rights across Liberia.”
