MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has sent congratulatory message to the Government and people of Ireland on the festive occasion commemorating Saint Patrick’s Day.
Saint Patrick’s Day or the Feast of Saint Patrick is a cultural and religious celebration held on March 17 of each year in Ireland and other Catholic Communities.
According to a Foreign Ministry Release issued on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, the event marks the traditional day of the death of Saint Patrick, the foremost Patron Saint of Ireland. The celebration also marks the anniversary of the signing of Ireland’s Constitution.
In his message to the President of Ireland, Michael Higgins, the Liberian Leader extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Government and people of Ireland, as they observed the occasion.
President Weah noted that under the leadership of President Higgins, the relations between Liberia and Ireland have taken a momentous height that is mutually beneficial to their respective national interests.
President Weah then wish for the Irish Leader and the Government and people of Ireland divine protection, peace, security and economic prosperity.
