MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Elections Commission (NEC) has finally reserved ruling in the Grand Cape Mount and Sinoe Counties December 8, 2020 Mid-Term Senatorial Election dispute.

NEC Board of Commissioners on Monday, March 22, 2021, listened to an appeal filed by Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) Victor Watson against the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) Simeon Taylor, Senator-Elect of Grand Cape Mount County.

However, a release issued on Monday, March 22, 2021, quoted NEC Chairperson Davidetta Brown-Lansanah as saying both Watson and Taylor will be formally informed as to the date and time for the Board’s ruling.

Meanwhile, the lawyers representing CPP’s Grace Brimah is praying that the NEC grant them their request, for a re-run in fourteen polling places in Districts Two and Three, in Sinoe County.

Madam Brima’s Lawyer is, among other things, alleging election irregularities, including the late opening of some polling places on Election Day.
