MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has arrived in Brazzaville, the Republic of Congo, at the start of his two-day State visit.
President Weah arrived at the Brazzaville’s Maya Maya International Airport early Thursday afternoon, April 15, 2021, ahead of the Inauguration of President Denise Saso-Ngueso.
The Congolese President is expected to be inaugurated for another five-year term on Friday, April 16, 2021.
While in Congo, the Executive Mansion said President Weah will hold talks with the Congolese Leader, and high on the agenda, include Liberia-Congo bilateral cooperation, as well as regional security and economic development.
The Liberian Leader is also expected to receive one of Congo’s highest honors for exemplary leadership-pursuit of peace in Africa and infrastructural prosperity in Liberia.
Meanwhile, Finance Minister, Samuel Tweah, is Chairing the Cabinet in consultation with the Vice President, while the President is away.
President Weah is due back in Liberia on Saturday, April 17, 2021.
