Criminal Court ‘C’ dismisses indictment against LMA President Alice Yeagban, three others in US90, 000 case

MONROVIA, LIBERIA -Criminal Court ‘C’ has dismissed the indictment against the embattled President of the Liberia Marketing Association (LMA), Alice Yeaban, and three others in a US90, 000 theft case.

The court’s action on Monday, April 19, 2021, followed an application filed by the prosecuting lawyers, led by Cllr. Bobby Livingstone to Judge Blamo Dixon, seeking to end Criminal Procedure Law of Liberia.

Those cleared by the court are; LMA President Alice Yeagban, Socrates Jlah, Jones Gibson, and James Gbalee. According to ELBC Judicial Reporter, the four officials were seen leaving the Temple of Justice, with clearances to indicate that their freedom has been restored.

The four individuals were indicted since 2019, on charges ranging from theft of property, economic sabotage, and criminal conspiracy.
