MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia is today joining the rest of the world in commemorating World Malaria Day. April 25 each year is celebrated as World Malaria Day, since it was established by the 60th Session of the World Health Assembly in May 2007. A Health Ministry release issued over the weekend said that because the day fell on Sunday, it is observing the day Monday, April 26, 2021 with activities, including house to house malaria and COVID-19 awareness, and talk show on malaria prevention. World Malaria Day was endorsed by one-hundred-ninety-four World Health Organization (WHO) member states to draw the world’s attention to the for financial and technical support to anti-malaria campaign globally. The global theme for this year’s World Malaria Day is: Zero Malaria- Draw the Line against Malaria.
