President George Weah Congratulates Sierra Leone on 60th Independence Anniversary

Monrovia, Liberia- President George Weah has congratulated the Government and people of the Republic of Sierra Leone on the occasion marking that Country’s 60th Independence anniversary.

In his message to his Sierra Leonean counterpart, President Julius Maada Bio, President Weah extended sincere best wishes to the Government and people of Sierra Leone as they celebrate such a historic milestone.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, the Liberian Leader further expressed the hope that the relations between Liberia and Sierra Leone will be further deepened for the betterment of the two countries and peoples.

President Weah assured that both countries will continue to work together to promote peace, security, and development in the Mano River Union Basin, ECOWAS region, and the African Continent.

Meanwhile, President Weah is to depart the country to join other regional leaders in Freetown at the official program marking the Independence Day celebrations.
