Prez. Weah intervenes to safe ailing Journalist Phillip Wesseh’s life

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – President George Weah has made a cash donation of US30, 000 to ailing Journalist Philip Wesseh. The Publisher of the Inquirer Newspaper has battled illness for some time now.

Presidential Press Secretary, Isaac Solo Kelgbeh told ELBC Thursday, April 29, 2021, that the family of Mr. Wesseh has decided to fly him to Ghana for medical treatment.

Mr. Kelgbeh said this is not the first time the Liberian leader has intervened in the health situation of the veteran Journalist. He said the President has expressed empathy about the condition of the Inquirer Publisher and wished him a speedy recovery.

Meanwhile, the Liberia leader has sent out a message of condolence to the family of the fallen Liberian Journalist Janet Johnson. The Veteran Broadcast Journalist died recently in Monrovia following a period of illness.
