MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia’s Chief Justice Francis Korkpor says constant allegation of corruption among judges and lawyers is creating mistrust in the Judiciary.
Chief Justice Korkpor said:” Those allegations are casting blanket aspersion on the judicial system, which has led to the lack of trust. Despite the negativity, there are still good judges and lawyers who are making the difference in Liberia.”
Speaking recently at programs marking the opening of the May Term of Court, Justice Korkpor said he has received numerous complaints of corruption and ethical transgressions against judges and lawyers from the public on a daily basis.
He said:” Such complaints are referred to the Judiciary Inquiry Committee for investigation and appropriate actions.”
