Liberia Business Asso., UK-Liberia Chambers of Commerce signed Trade and Investment Agreement

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Business Association (LIBA) and the UK-Liberia Chamber of Commerce have reached an agreement to promote trade and investment between Liberia and the United Kingdom.

A memorandum of understanding signed between the trade and commerce associations will focus on partnership among Liberian and UK businesses.

Making the disclosure at a news conference in Paynesville Tuesday, May 25, 2021, LIBA President James Strother said:” A delegation from LIBA is expected in the UK this September to begin actual discussion on the partnership”.

For her part, the Director of Communication and External Affairs of the UK-Liberia Chamber of Commerce, Wofai Samuel, said:” The agreement seeks to promote education, health, and agriculture through business, with the aim of elevating the Liberian economy.”

Speaking via zoom during Tuesday’s news conference, Madam Samuel said the partnership will attract huge and sustainable investments that will help transform the living standard of Liberians.
