LOWER MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Liberia Airport Authority (LAA) has denied allegation that it is reducing the salaries of employees, and refusing to settle the benefits of retirees of the entity.
Speaking in an ELBC interview Monday, the head of Corporate Communications and Media Services, Ernest Sharpe, described the allegation as false and misleading.
Mr. Sharpe disclosed that the Management of the Airport has been regularly disbursing the salaries and benefits of its employees and retirees, except for two months, March and April this year.
He attributed the delay to the Covid-19 pandemic, which has reduced the number of flights coming to Liberia.
