LOFA COUNTY, LIBERIA-President George Weah has repeatedly clarified that he holds no grudge against the people of Lofa County, for their decision in the 2017 Elections.
In Lofa County, President Weah was defeated by the former Vice President of Liberia, Joseph N. Boakai, in the elections, after receiving ten-percent of the votes.
But at separate town hall meetings in Lofa County, President Weah said:” The election result in Lofa County is justified by the fact that the former Vice President is a father-figure in the County.”
The Liberian Leader admitted that he was politically new the people of Lofa County, as his main challenger then had served for twelve years as Liberia’s Vice President.
However, President Weah appreciated the votes received, adding that they contributed immensely to his election as President.
The Liberian Chief Executive encouraged Lofians to vote him overwhelmingly in the coming 2023 Presidential Elections, because he has now been adopted as their son, and is leading the Country in the right direction.
Meanwhile, several citizens have expressed delight over such clarification from Prom President Weah, and encouraged the President to impact Lofa County with Government’s development programs to be rewarded in 2023.
