MONROVIA, LIBERIA- Chief Justice Francis Korkpor is urging fellow Judges to always be fair and transparent in deciding cases.
Justice Korkpor said in case of any relation, the law asks that one recuses him or herself from the matter to avoid conflict of interest.
He also reminded Judges that decisions taken must be done within the confines of the law, asking them to do exactly what the law requires.
The Chief Justice was speaking Monday at the start of a one day seminar of the National Trial Judges Association of Liberia at the Temple of Justice in Monrovia.
Justice Korkpor wants Judges to always acquaint themselves with the dynamics of the law, noting that the law is changing and being amended every year.
He called on the public to see the Judiciary as a place for help and stop looking at the institution with disdain.
According to Chief Justice Korkpor, to identify and solve the problems of the Judiciary requires sustained efforts of all Liberians.
