MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah says Liberia’s bilateral ties with Japan will continue to grow from strength to strength, terming existence relations as historic and mutually beneficial.
During a courtesy visit of Japanese Ambassador Tsutomu Himeno, President Weah extended greetings to the Japanese Prime Minister, Yoshihito Suga and the people of Japan.
The Liberian Chief Executive thanked the Government and people of Japan for their support to Liberia over the years.
The President described Japanese sponsored projects in Liberia as crucial to the growth and economic development of the Country.
For his part, Ambassador Himeno thanked President Weah and expressed delight over Japan’s relations with Liberia, promising his Country’s support to Liberia’s development agenda.
He reaffirmed the Government of Japan’s commitment to working with Liberia in building roads, markets as well as supporting the agriculture sector, particularly in the area of rice production.
