MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has expressed sadness over the death of former Information Minister Emmanuel Bowier.
Rev. Bowier died over the weekend following a protracted period of illness. He was seventy-one years old.
President Weah described the renowned statesman as a trendsetter who contributed immensely to Liberia’s political history, as well as to its arts and cultures.
Rev. Bowier served as Information Minister during the Regime of former President Samuel Kanyon Doe.
Before his death, he was an active participant in national discourses on the future of the Country, and used his platform to provide historical references about Liberia.
President George Weah has since conveyed his sympathy to the Bowier family and all those impacted by his death, urging them to take solace in the Lord.
