Police adjusts fines for health protocols violation

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia National Police says it has adjusted fines for institutions caught in violation of the Health protocols from 200 to 1,500 United States Dollars.

Police Spokesman, Moses Carter, said:” Any institution caught in violation of the protocols will be made to pay the fine or be shut down.”

Mr. Carter named some of the institutions as churches and entertainment Centers amongst others.

Moses Carter also said anyone caught in the street without nose masks will be made to pay one-thousand- Liberian Dollars fine each, for first and second offenses.

He added that a third offense will lead to 30 day imprisonment.

The Police Spokesperson said the measures will serve as deterrent for would be violators of the Health protocols.
