Gov’t focuses on Robertsport road situation

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government has begun intervening in the Robertsport Road situation.

The intervention followed an inspection of the road by the Minister of State and Presidential Affairs, Nathaniel McGill, Finance Minister Samuel Tweah and Public Works Minister Ruth Cooker Collins.

According to a statement issued over the weekend, the three top officials of Government had already concluded the road inspection.

The officials were instructed by President George Weah the condition of the road and progress being made on the reconstruction of the collapsed bridged.

Speaking on behalf of the inspection team, Minister McGill expressed satisfaction over progress being made on the project bridge, but however said that a construction firm has been hired to work on the first fifteen kilometers of the Medina-Robertsport Highway, by the second quarter of the year.
