GRD. GEDEh COUNTY – Key actors were said to be absent at the opening of the 7th Judicial Circuit Court’s August Term in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County.
According to a roll call by the Clerk of court Badio Kliah, the Presiding Judge, the County Attorney and all defense counsels and key judges were all absent.
ELBC Correspondent quotes local authorities as expressing concern about what seems to habitual on the part of judges and lawyers in the county.
Chief Clerk, Badio Kliah who presided over the opening session said that newly appointed Judge Sekajipo Wolo had said he received his assignment late and therefore could not be in Zwedru in time for the opening.
However, there were no reasons given for the County Attorney Isaac Williams and Defense Counsels not showing up for the program.
The actions come as there are forty two cases on the 7th Judicial Circuit Court’s docket pending trial.
