Liberian Senate passes Joint Resolution for Four Rep. By-Elections

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Senate has finally passed a joint resolution for the conduct of four representative by-elections in Country.

With the passage of the resolution, the date for the by-elections is now set for November 15 this year.

Acting Press Director at the Liberian Senate, Alfred Johnson, said the National Elections Commission (NEC) can now begin the process leading to the by-elections.

Funding for the conduct of the by-elections has been provided by the Liberian Government.

The four counties in which the by-elections will be held are Bomi, Nimba, Grand Gedeh and Bong Counties.

The vacancies were created at the House of Representatives following the election of Mr. Edwin Snowe, Prince Moye, Zoe Pennue and Jeremiah Koung as Senators.
