MONROVIA, LIBERIA – President George Weah says Government is open to dialogue with students and stakeholders for the purpose of improving the education sector.
President Weah assured that Government will direct its attention to improving school facilities, train and deploy adequate teachers in schools and provide the relevant instructional materials.
The Liberian Leader was speaking Tuesday when he delivered a special message in observance of the 174th National Flag Day celebrations.
President Weah urged students to take their education seriously and make use of opportunities like the free WASSCE fees provided by the Government.
He is also admonishing Liberians to continue to show respect for the rule of law and legal authorities.
President Weah said the Country will not maintain its democratic credentials if those who disrespect the rule of law walk away with impunity.
The Liberian Leader said some Liberians are going beyond their right of peaceful assembly and engaged in the destruction of public and private properties.
President Weah called for a collective effort from majority peaceful and law abiding citizens to save the Country from the actions of lawless individuals.
Despite these undemocratic practices by some Liberians, the Liberian Leader admitted that the Country’s democracy is flourishing while peace is being maintained.
