MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Head of the Catholic Church and Sovereign of the Vatican City State, Pope Francis, has donated assorted medical supplies to the Saint Joseph Catholic Hospital in Monrovia.
The presentation was made on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, by the Apostolic Nuncio, Dagoberto Campos Salas, in the presence of the hospital officials and the Secretary General of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Liberia (CABICOL).
In a statement issued, the CABICOL said that the donation has demonstrated the Holy Father’s closeness and affection to the people of Liberia.
The medical supplies are intended to boost the national fight against COVID-19. It can be recalled that the Holy See made available ventilators and other cash donations from the onset of the Corona pandemic.
CABICOL has, meanwhile, lauded Pope Francis and his associates for such immense contributions to the Saint Joseph Catholic Church.
