MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The German Development Corporation (GIZ), with support from the European Union (EU), has launched a technical vocational training center in Monrovia.
The TVET program is a ten-million United States Dollar project being undertaken by the Private Sector Association, and is aimed at impacting quality skills of thousands of Liberian youth.
Speaking at the launch on Monday, August 30, 2021, EU Head of Delegation Laurent Delahousse described Liberian youths as assets for the future.
Ambassador Delehousse said:” The young people need to be provided the opportunity to acquire quality skills for the development of the Country”.
In remarks, Acting Public Works Minister Ruth Cooker-Collins said the initiative is critical to the development goal of the Country.
