MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Liberian Government has vowed not to shield any of its officials found culpable of corruption.
Deputy Information Minister, Jarlawa Tonpoe told ELBC recently, that President George Weah has no intention to shield any corrupt public official.
Minister Tonpoe said President Weah continues to demonstrate his commitment to fighting corruption with the introduction of key instruments which were passed by the Legislature.
He said unlike the regime, the Liberian has never taken responsibility of any of his officials involved in corruption.
Minister Tonpoe however assured that the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission, given power to prosecute under the government of President Weah, is ready to fast-strike corruption cases in the country.
