LACC warns public officials against acts of intimidation while facing corruption probe

by Francis Pelenah Jr,

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission has warned public officials coming to the Commission for investigation to be in strict compliance with its security regulations.

The LACC in a statement said it will not tolerate public officials attempting to force their way into the premises of the Commission with armed bodyguards and battle cries.

LACC said it will not condone any irresponsible attitudes that have the propensity to place the leadership and investigators in harm’s way and suppress the outcome of investigative processes.

The Commission reiterated its reminder to public officials that it will not be intimidated by any antics as it strive to carry out its mandate of fighting corruption.

The anti-graft Commission is also urging individuals coming for investigation at the LACC to come only with their lawyers.
