MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberian Returnees from Ghana are calling for a ten-month extension period, instead of the three given by the Ghanaian Government.
The group is under the banner Buduburam Veterans and the Liberian Refugee Network.
The Spokesperson of the group, Tyron Marshall, said:” There are some Liberians born in Ghana, who for the past thirty-three years have nowhere to go.”
Mr. Marshall asserted that the Ghanaian Government reported delay to fully implement local integration of some Liberians is posing serious challenge for them.
Meanwhile, he said a campaign;” Home Back Home” has been launched to ensure the purchase of ten acre of land in Liberia for the Liberian Returnees.
Mr. Marshall maintained that the group, in collaboration with human right organizations, has identified Gbah, a place in Bomi County for the returnees.
