MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Vice President Jewel Howard – Taylor is urging emerging political leaders to re-shift their thoughts about politics.

Vice President Taylor wants Liberian youth begin to value their votes during elections as their powerful tool to transform the situation around them.

The Vice President is, at the same time, calling on young people to be careful with politicians and not sell their votes.

Vice President Taylor also cautioned the youth against allowing politicians to truck them in different areas during elections, something she noted is hampering democracy and development.

The Liberian Vice President spoke Monday, October 25, 2021, at the Political Leadership School for Africa Cohort Eight official opening in Sinkor, Monrovia.

Meanwhile, the Vice President of Sierra Leone, Mohammed Jalloh, also wants emerging African leaders to be patriotic in their political quest.

Mr. Jalloh challenged young people to embrace the culture of tolerance in their political leadership.

The Sierra Leonean Vice President called on young people to get involved in civic engagement at the community level, as a demonstration of patriotism to their respective countries.
