MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah is presently in Glasgow, Scotland, attending the 2021 UN Climate Change Conference.
President Weah has joined other world leaders at the 26TH Edition of the Conference of Parties, known as COP26, participating in the World Leaders Summit, as well as high-level plenary discussions.
According to an Executive Mansion release issue over the weekend, President Weah, as a stanch supporter of climate change policies, has joined other participants to discuss and take immediate actions to meet global commitments under the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
The release said President Weah is expected to hold bilateral and multilateral meetings with other world leaders, on the margins of the COP26.
The Conference is expected to last for two weeks, and it is under the joint Presidency of the United Kingdom and Italy.
Meanwhile, the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Nathaniel McGill, is chairing the cabinet, in consultation with the Vice President and President.
