MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The John F. Kennedy (JFK) Memorial Hospital and USAID are expected to hold series of discussions on the proper disposal of medical waste at the hospital.
The Chief Administrator of the JFK Hospital, Jerry Brown, told ELBC Thursday, November 4, 2021, that such discussions will rally ideas and device means to manage medical waste, and give an idea about USAID’s plans towards the improvement of the hospital.
Dr. Brown said:” The issue of waste disposal has been a major challenge in the past, and we hope that the discussion will ensure a safer environment for staffs of the hospital.”
He also revealed that the hospital has made some significant improvement to its mortuary facilities.
He said the JFK Hospital is now fully equipped to host bodies that are pending post mortem examinations.
