LOFA COUNTY, LIBERIA-Police have arrested and charged an eighteen-year-old-man for allegedly raping a sixteen-year-old-girl in Lofa County.
Ansumana Dukuly of Barkedu allegedly committed the crime in the afternoon hours of November 3, 2021.
According to ELBC Correspondent, Ansumana allegedly convinced the girl to escort him to his house, promising to buy some things for her.
Upon arrival, he reportedly requested the girl to have sexual intercourse with him, a request that was out-rightly rejected, our Correspondent said.
Assumana, according to our Correspondent, then forcibly took the little girl in his room and raped her.
Medical report from the Tellewoyan Hospital confirmed that the girl was raped.
Meanwhile, family members of the victim are calling for speedy trial of the case.
