Pres. Weah submits Third ArcelorMittal Dev. Agreement to House of Rep.

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has submitted to the House of Representatives, for ratification, the Third agreement of the ArcelorMittal Development Agreement.

President Weah said:” The Company will make eight-hundred-million United States Dollars investment in Liberia, while the agreement will provide the Liberian Government fifty-five-million US Dollars, within nineteen months of the ratification.”

President Weah told the House that the agreement will develop the Yekepa to Buchanan Corridor, thus creating jobs and training for Liberians, as well as Direct Foreign Investment, among others.

Meanwhile, the instrument has been submitted to the Committees on Mines and Energy, Judiciary, Ways and Means and Investment to report within two weeks.
