MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has completed a one-day inspection of three major projects in Monrovia, for the first time in the New Year.

President George Weah visited the ongoing lighting of the paved Johnsonville Road, the Invincible Sports Park construction site at the Fish Market in Sinkor and the PHP Community Park.

The Invisible Sports Park is a personal initiative of President Weah, as a way of paying homage to his former club, Invincible Eleven (IE).

ELBC Executive Mansion Reporter said several residents along the Invincible Park are also expected to benefit modern homes, as their houses are nearing completion.

On the Johnsonville road, the Liberian Leader inspected the lighting project and the level of progress made in meeting the completion deadline.

President Weah was then taken on a guided tour of the PHP Community Park project by contractors and Minister of State without portfolio, Trokon Kpui, who is spearheading both projects.

President George Weah toured the projects on Wednesday, December 5, 2022.

The Liberian Leader then expressed satisfaction over the level of work done on the projects.

President Weah said his tour of the facilities was aimed at monitoring the work of those he appointed to supervise the projects.

He said:” Though I am impressed, some work still needs to be done, especially with the light project on the Johnsonville Road, and told reporters that he visits ongoing construction work at the Invincible Sports Park every two months, to ensure the work is done according to my vision.”

President Weah also indicated that the PHP Community Park, which began last year, is intended to support the athletic and football skills of young people.

Meanwhile, the Liberian Leader has reaffirmed Government’s commitment to developing the Country, regardless of the constraints and mixed feelings of some opposition figures.
