Gov’t to pave Saclepea-Tapita Road

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-People along the Saclepea-Tapita Road are about to benefit from paved road.

It followed the signing and awarding of the road construction contract to China Railway Number Seventh Group Thursday, January 6, 2022, by the Liberian Government through the Ministry of Public Works.

Public Works Minister Ruth Coker-Collins said:” The project is jointly funded by the Liberian Government and the World Bank, and is worth fifty-three-million United States Dollars.”

She disclosed that the Liberian Government has already committed six–million USD, to settle homes that are affected by the project.

Also speaking, the World Bank Country Manager, Kwima Nthara, said:” The Bank has already identified funding for the Tapita to Toe Town Corridor, between Nimba and Grand Gedeh Counties.”
