MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The House of Representatives has invited Authorities of Bea Mountain Mining Corporation (BMMC) and several line ministries and agencies of the Liberian Government to appear before it within two weeks.

Government functionaries invited include the Liberia National Police (LNP), Ministries of Labor and Mines and Energy, the National Investment Commission (NIC), the Bureau of Concessions, Liberia Immigration Service (LIS), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA).

In a communication to Plenary on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, Grand Cape Mount County District One Representative, Bob Sheriff, accused Bea Mountain Mining Corporation of grossly violating the Mineral Development Agreement signed with the Liberian Government.
