MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The House Representatives has cited authorities of the Justice Ministry, the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), and other security agencies.

According to ELBC Legislative Reporter, those security agencies are expected to address the increase in crimes, and measures put in place to curtail them.

In a communication to Plenary Tuesday, February 1, 2022, Montserrado County District-Eleven Representative, Richard Koon, recounted the New Kru Town Crusade Stampede and a reported shooting incident in Bong County by disadvantaged youths, as key reasons for their citation.

Representative Koon said:” The incidents are threats to national security and needs urgent attention by stakeholders.”
