Mr. Cummings’ Chief of Office Staff resigns over book publication to demean First Family

by Maximilian K. Kasseh jr

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Amidst mounting public condemnation and outcry to safe face, Alternative National Congress (ANC) Political Leader, Alexander Cummings, says he has requested and received the immediate resignation of his Chief of Office Staff, Isaac Van Tukpah.

This followed a denigrating publication widely circulated on social media, targeting the First Family of Liberia.

Mr. Cummings, in a Facebook post said he was seriously concern about the publication, thus requesting Mr. Tukpah to resign.

The ANC Political Leader further said that he, however, hoped that the alleged discussion by the President about his wife, as revealed in the book, is not true.

Although Mr. Cummings sought to justify that the publication was done long before Mr. Isaac Van Tukpah became his Office Chief of Staff, political analysts say Mr. Cummings’ reactions are nothing more than sheer tact political attempt at facelift and cover-up.
