The Liberian Leader praised the rescue team for helping to quench the fire which, fortunately, did not reach the patients’ ward.

At the same time, President Weah has donated more than one- hundred bags of rice and cartoons of fish to the Hospital.

He said:” The food items are for present and incoming patients to ease the constraint of food.”

The Liberian Leader expressed his empathy with the hospital authorities over the fire disaster and promised the Liberian Government’s continuous care.

Meanwhile, the Medical Director of the Hospital, Dr. Moses Wehdiegar, thanked the Liberian Government, through the President, for the timely humanitarian intervention.

Dr. Wehdiegar said:” The fire has caused a major setback to the operation room, leaving us to refer patients to the JFK Memorial Hospital in Monrovia.”
