MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has accepted the resignation of the President of the William V.S.Tubman University, in Maryland County.
Dr. Elliott Wreh Wilson presided over the University for the past four years, prior to his resignation.

Dr. Elliot said:” I am constrained to step down, because I do not see violence as a means of order, following one aggression after the other on the Tubman University Campus.”
The visitor to the University has, meanwhile, extended thanks and appreciation to Dr. Elliott for his dedicated and compassionate services rendered the university and the country at large.
President Weah also wished Dr. Elliott well in his future endeavors, and hoped he remains available to serve the Country in other capacities in the future.
Meanwhile, President Weah has appointed Dr. Emmanuel Leon Sie-Wreh as Acting President of the William V.S.Tubman University, pending the vetting of candidates by the Board of Trustees for subsequent appointment of a new President of the University.
