GRAND GEDEH, LIBERIA-Groundbreaking for the rehabilitation of a 25Km road connecting Liberia to Ivory Coast has taken place in Grand Gedeh County.
The road project is aimed at opening shorter corridors between Grand Gedeh County and neighboring countries, in order to enable Ivorian Refugees opting to return home have easy access.
The project, which is expected to be completed in a month, is funded by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR).
Grand Gedeh County Information Officer, Abebu Barry, has meanwhile, lauded the UNHCR for the project and urged citizens to lend helping hand to contractors, during the implementation period.
The vetting of Ivorian Refugees Status ends in June, with some refugees opting to be repatriated, and others locally reintegrated.
