Mayor Koijee warns Monrovia City Corporation Employees against abuse of power and lawlessness

by Maximilian K. Kasseh jr

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Monrovia City Mayor Jefferson Koijee is warning employees at the Monrovia City Corporation (MCC) against abuse of power and lawlessness.

Major Koijee said:” Under my watch at the MCC, lawlessness will not be tolerated, and everyone under my authority must take heed and act accordingly.”

The MCC Boss noted that Liberia remains a country of law, and as such, no one, not even him, is above the laws of the Country.

Mayor Koijee’s caution was contained in a statement issued over the weekend, when he announced the immediate suspension of Monrovia City Police Director, Thomas Garwo.

Director Garwo is said to have stalled the movement of peaceful citizens when he parked  his vehicle behind theirs, walked away and switched off his phone, on grounds that he had disagreements with someone in that vicinity.
