Ambassador Boakai testifies in Court…..

by Fabine W. Kwiah

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Former Vice President Joseph Boakai says the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) Framework Document signed was the original and not the photocopies.

Taking the witness stand on Monday, May 16, 2022, Ambassador Boakai clarified that Senator Daniel Natehn was not Chairman of the CPP, but Chairman of the Alternative National Congress (ANC).

Considering the signature page of the document, Ambassador Boakai said:” It represents the original but documents handed him in court were not the original I signed on May 19, 2020.”

He disclosed that under the leadership of the ANC, headed by defendant Alexander Cummings, the CPP Framework Document was filed with the National Elections Commission (NEC), noting that the original documents were five copies, four intended for the CPP and one for NEC.

The former Vice President, in his testimony, said the CPP was formed with the intent to reduce competition among political parties, and to form a formidable opposition, thus giving rise to the Framework Document.
