MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has committed the Government of Liberia to a fair multi-user access to the railroad from Yekepa to Buchanan.

President Weah said:” The railroad will be used by Liberian enterprises and others from the Republic of Guinea.”

According to him, it will be beneficial to both nations and that it will also enhance the goals and purpose of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the Mano River Union (MRU).

The Liberian Leader’s comments were contained in an acknowledgement to the House of Representatives’ Thursday, May 19, 2022 decline to ratify the 3rd Arcelor Mittal Agreement.

Meanwhile, the President has directed the Inter-Ministerial Concessions Committee to analyze the position of the National Legislature, pending a report, which could determine a resubmission in the interest of the Company and Country.
