GRAND CAPE MOUNT COUNTY, LIBERIA-The House of Representatives has mandated a specialized committee to visit Bea Mountain Company in Grand Cape Mount County, to establish the reported spillover of chemical in the Mafa River.
This followed a concern raised by Montserrado County District-Eight Representative Acarous Gray.
Representative Gray said the reported incident has the propensity to endanger lives and other protected species.
According to him, the House needs to take an emergency decision to protect human and animal lives, including crops.
Prior to the recent incident, the House of Representatives dispatched a specialized committee on a fact-finding tour of the concession site.
